The last two weeks or so, I've had this crazy obsession with shrinking down all my animal patterns. Why you ask? Because the smaller the animal, the cuter the animal!!
I have realized this week that it has been far too long since I last wrote a blog post. It has been a very busy summer. Spent my time getting my etsy shop blooming and working on tons new animals. Not to mention enjoying the beautiful summer weather!

My most recent animal! The Flamingo. I received this pattern as a birthday gift. (My friends know me well...) This is probably one of the more difficult patterns from Funky Friends Factory that I have. It took me well over a few hours to figure out. Thank goodness Pauline has a step by step tutorial for this beautiful bird! It was a huge help! You can also purchase this pattern on her website!
Hello Everyone! Sorry it has been awhile. :) I have been super busy! TONS of new things are happening. I finally opened my new etsy shop! Whole new design, and new name!
My latest project! Life has been busy and stressful these last two months. I have not had time to sit down and really work on a project. There are a few projects up in the air still, such as my blanket and other knitting projects. Luckily since I buy a lot of my supplies ahead of time when it goes on sale, I had everything to make the hippo. Itching to work on a project, ANY project, I went to my fabric bins to search out any ideas. It came down to either working on a giraffe or a hippo. As I picked out which fabric colors to use, the hippo's fabric combos ended up making the decision for me. The link for where I purchased this adorable hippo pattern (and the other stuffed animal patterns on my blog) will be located down below! :)
Here he is! :) The newest stuffed animal I attempted to make! I can add him to my "nailed it" list of projects. Right next to the lion and elephants I have already made. He was a little more difficult. As you can probably see a little bit, his arms are in two totally different places. And his tail was pretty tricky also. Nonetheless, he was a huge hit at the baby shower!
Last night I had the urge to start a brand new sewing project. I needed to get started on all the Christmas presents I'm making this year, so I choose to start off with the Elephant plush toy pattern I had bought a couple months back. Joann's had their huge Veteran's Day sale and I had already bought all the materials. Pulling an all nighter working on a new project sounded great at first...and yet, it didn't end so great. This was my first attempt at sewing a stuffed animal. I had crocheted multiple stuffed animals before, but never sewed one. All in all, the elephant turned out decent...not perfect and not too bad either. Here it is...
